AI-Empowered SAFe® 6.0 Release Train Engineer (RTE) Certification Training Faqs

SAFe RTE stands for Scaled Agile Framework for Lean Enterprises Release Train Engineer. SAFe is a framework that allows organizations to scale Agile and Lean practices beyond individual teams and extend them to the enterprise level. The Release Train Engineer (RTE) plays a key role in SAFe and is responsible for facilitating and coordinating the Agile Release Train (ART) — a group of Agile teams organized around delivering value in a value stream.

Scaled Agile, Inc. provides SAFe RTE certification to individuals who have demonstrated their understanding and competency in performing the RTE role within the SAFe framework. This certification typically involves completing a training course, passing an exam, and maintaining certain experience requirements.

SAFe certifications can provide individuals with a comprehensive knowledge of the framework and its practical application, particularly for those engaged in organizations that embrace SAFe as their primary agile framework. These credentials demonstrate an individual's mastery of the SAFe framework and ability to operate effectively. By obtaining SAFe certifications, professionals signal their dedication to agile practices at scale and validate their competence in roles crucial to successfully implementing SAFe, such as the Release Train Engineer (RTE). This not only enhances their personal skill set but also contributes to the overall proficiency of the organization in leveraging SAFe principles for effective and scalable agile transformations.

SAFe RTE Certification is valid for 1 year. You need to renew it once it expires.

The duration of SAFe RTE Certification training is 3 days or 24 hours.

The SAFe RTE certificate remains valid for one year from the renewal date. To renew it, you need to pay a renewal fee. However, a condition must be fulfilled before you can renew the certificate. Once you have fulfilled this criterion, you will be eligible to renew your RTE certificate. The cost for renewing the SAFe RTE certificate is USD 295.
