Malene Jacobsen

Biography

Malene Jacobsen is one of the few people that have never done a Waterfall project. She was taught Agile/Scrum from the first day of her education in Advanced Computer Science and since then it became a natural way of thinking both in her work and private life. Malene fully lives up to the saying: you don’t do agile, you become agile!Malene started her professional career as a Web Developer but quickly decided to be more client faced and therefore became an IT Consultant with responsibility for different projects as a Product Owner. In her professional career, she has fulfilled all scrum roles: Developer, Product Owner and Scrum Master and she realized that her passion is to teach other people in the understanding the agile way of working and how to work in the Scrum framework.Malene is a Dane living in South Africa, Cape Town, her deep passion is getting people to feel the same joy for agile as she does. She is doing this as the Agile Practice Lead for South Africa's biggest insurance company - Old Mutual.
