In my earlier professional life, I vorked in companies like ATAN, Accenture and Alamo IT leading large projects around the world for clients such as PepsiCo, Vallourec and Petrobras. Both good and bad experiences I had in those times were used to create a company where I'd really could make a difference along with my partners Alysson Mendonça and Rafael Neves; and that company is Facta.Facta was a great place to learn by experimentation, and once I started doing experiments I wanted to share them with the community with talks, blog posts and training sessions. That led me to became a CSD Trainer in 2014, and where my journey as a trainer began. Overtime I learned more about better ways to propagate learning by giving more control to the participants in my classes, and as the number of classes increased so did the amount of feedback and improvement opportunities.These opportunities led me to create new content such as a Scrum Card Game called Scrumchkin, and use them in my training sessions. They also led me to learn visual facilitation and create virtual classes about agility that have more than 100.000 enrollments and a NPS that puts it in a World Class classification.To learn more and impact even more people, I became a CST. And to this day, I keep experimenting and trying to improve myself as a trainer, a software developer and as a person.

Initially, Maria Melo explored several roles in top organizations worldwide, such as ATAN, Alamo IT, and Accenture. During this time, he took on large-scale projects worldwide, collaborating with several clients such as Petrobras, Vallourec, and PepsiCo.
Melo then partnered with Rafael Neves and Alysson Mendonca to establish Facta, a brainchild to carry out experimental learning and help people grow. Further into the future, Melo began to venture into a much more expansive community through training sessions, blog posts, and talks. However, the pivotal movement didn’t start until 2014, when he got into the journey of becoming a Certified Scrum Developer, which set the stage for his evolution to become a globally dedicated educator.
Besides the CSD training, he also developed a card game based on Scrum called Scrumshkin, which he then integrated into training sessions, making the learning a little more interactive than before. After expanding his reach, he goes into the CST bandwagon, where his self-improvement traits help him become a better educator.
In the meantime, he also mastered visual facilitation to establish virtual classes regarding agility and has had 100,000 enrollments in no time. This earned him a sky-high Net Promoter Score, a guage of satisfaction for attendees and aspirants.
