Will I receive any SAFe community membership along with the training?

According to the new Scaled Agile guidelines, only participants taking their first SAFe course or the SPC course will receive a one-year membership. Participants who have taken subsequent courses will receive a 60-day membership regardless of whether their membership is still valid.

Is it possible to obtain certification without completing the SAFe® 6.0 LPM Training?

No. It is mandatory to complete SAFe LPM training to get eligibility to appear for the SAFe LPM certification exam.

What is the format of the LPM certification exam?

The SAFe® Lean Portfolio Manager (LPM) certification exam has some specific format. The duration of this certification is 90 minutes and candidates have to complete 45 questions. These questions are structured in a multiple-choice, single-select format. Throughout the exam, a visible timer ensures completion within the allocated time. Scoring is based solely on correctly answered questions, with unanswered ones marked as incorrect. To pass, candidates must achieve a score of 77% or higher. The exam is delivered online, prohibiting external assistance and access to reference materials.

SAFe® LPM Certification FAQs: Everything You Need to Know

Ideal for Portfolio Managers, PMO staff, Product/Program Managers, Agile Coaches, CIOs/CTOs, and others involved in enterprise portfolio strategy

There are no prerequisites to take the Lean Portfolio Management course but a few skills are recommended. Some of the recommended skills are-

Familiarity with Agile Principles
Experience Working in a SAFe environment.
Attended SAFe PO/PM or SAFe Course

It’s a 16-hour instructor-led course, covering Lean governance, budget guardrails, portfolio Kanban, strategic funding, and more.

The course includes official LPM workbook, one-year SAFe membership, 16 SEUs/PDUs, real-world exercises, interactive workshops, and the first exam attempt.

Yes. The first exam attempt is included if taken within 30 days after completing the course.

The Lean Portfolio Management Certification is valid for 1 year which needs to be renewed after that.

The LPM certification needs to be renewed every year. The renewal cost is $295. Here are the instructions to be followed for LPM Certification renewal.

No. It is mandatory to complete SAFe LPM training to get eligibility to appear for the SAFe LPM certification exam.

First retake: Available immediately after the first failed attempt
Second retake: Available 10 days after the first retake
Third retake: Available 30 days after the second retake
Additional retakes: Each requires a 30-day waiting period from the previous attempt

You must take the SAFe LPM exam within 60 days of completing the course. The first attempt is included in the course fee, so it is important to schedule it within that window.

Multiple retake exams are allowed to get SAFe LPM certification if you failed in your first attempt. However, it is mandatory to to follow retake policy as per Scaled Agile guidelines.

Token or partial payments will become non-refundable after 15 days from the date of payment.
Any token or partial amount paid can be applied towards enrollment for any available sessions on our website within 6 months of the payment date.
