Taking the PMP® certification training course showcases your ability to initiate, plan, execute, control, and close projects effectively. 

To qualify for this esteemed PMP certification, you must satisfy certain criteria established by the Project Management Institute (PMI). 

PMI offers sets of PMP certification requirements:

Set A Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least 60 months (5 years) of experience leading and managing projects within the last eight years
• 35 hours of project management education or CAPM® certification (the PMI Authorized On-Demand PMP Exam Prep course can help meet this requirement) (or)

Set B Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (or global equivalent)
• At least 36 months (3 years) of experience leading and managing projects within the last eight years
• 35 hours of project management education or CAPM® certification (the PMI Authorized On-Demand PMP Exam Prep course can help meet this requirement) (or)

Set C Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (or global equivalent) from a GAC-accredited program
• At least 24 months (2 years) of experience leading and managing projects within the last eight years
• 35 hours of project management education (GAC core project management coursework is pre-approved to meet this requirement)

Experience Requirements

All project management experience must be directly related to leading and directing projects. According to the PMBOK® Guide, a project is a temporary effort to create a unique product, service, or result. This experience should be accumulated within the last eight years before submitting your application.

Education/Training

In addition to project management experience, all applicants (except active CAPM certification holders) must complete at least 35 hours of project management education from an Authorized Training Partner such as Simpliaxis.

Exemptions

If you hold an active Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) certification, you do not need to document the 35 hours of education; this requirement is waived.
