This ICP-ACC® certification aims to help you become an ICAgile Certified Agile Coach responsible for enhancing the team practices in software development. It is one of the topmost certificates for Agile Coaches in the IT industry which is awarded to Agile coaches for their skills and understanding in Agile philosophy and coaching. It primarily focuses on the mindset, roles, and responsibilities of an Agile Coach.

There are no prerequisites to attend the ICP-ACC training however it is recommended to have a basic understanding of Agile, and some experience of working with an Agile team.

The ICP-ACC® certification has many individuals as well as organizational benefits such as:

  • ICP-ACC® certification helps in securing a role as an Agile Coach in an organization
  • The certification helps in landing a good high paying job in top-most companies
  • The Agile Coach is a change agent and therefore expected to bring a positive change in an organization to help them achieve their business goals

To obtain the ICP-ACC® certification, you should complete the ICP-ACC training from an ATO. After completing the training, the trainer will evaluate your performance based on certain learning objectives during the training and will grant you the certification based on that. You will receive the certification from an internationally recognized ICAgile certification body. The ICP-ACC® certification is valid for a lifetime.

There is no separate exam for the assessment of IPC-ACC candidates. The trainer evaluates the knowledge of candidates during the training which is used as the primary criteria to grant the ICP-ACC® certification.

There is no specific format for the ICP-ACC exam as candidates are evaluated based on certain learning objectives during the training such as classroom discussions, individual exercises, group exercises, role plays, etc.

The Project Management Institute issues the Professional Development Units (PDUs) and the Scrum Alliance issues the Scrum Educational Units (SEUs) to the candidate after the completion of any certification course. They are given to recognize the participation of the professional and to authenticate the knowledge of the principles and practices of Scrum. To hold your certification from the Scrum Alliance, you should earn a particular SEUs every two years.

You can earn up to 22-24 PDUs and 22-24 SEUs by attending the ICP-ACC 3-day training program.

PDUs and SEUS recognize your dedication and devotion to Agile and Scrum society. They are given by the Scrum Alliance and Project management Institutes for all the successful ventures that you go through in your career. The Scrum Alliance expects you to earn certain SEUs to renew your certification every two years. The Project Management Institute offers PDUs on many certifications except CAPM certification and expects you to have a specific number of PDUs to renew your certification every three years.
